When we as believers in Jesus can regularly internalize this spiritually healthy reality — that any whiff of goodness around us or connected to us exists only because the Holy Spirit resides in us — it would seem that the trust in God that King David heralds in Psalm 16 may be a little easier for us to imitate. After all, who else can truly “preserve” us, and where else can we safely “take refuge”?
