Pastor Scott offered another humility question we can ask ourselves: Am I willing to be open to God’s truths that may not fit in with my preconceived notions and expectations, showing me to be willing to hold on to my beliefs lightly? Doing so is not always easy — but we must open ourselves to the Lord’s voice and leading in our lives.

In the next part of the passage, an argument was underway regarding which of them was “the greatest.” Given all they had already seen Jesus say and do, you’d think the disciples would have developed some humility about themselves and where they stood in the sight of God. But alas, no.
