UNDERSTANDING CHILD DEDICATION

A Commitment for Parents

Child Dedication is not about a child's salvation or baptism. Instead, it's a public commitment by parents to faithfully raise their child according to biblical principles while trusting God to work in their life.

It's also a commitment from GraceWay Bible Church to come alongside your family by praying for you, encouraging you, and supporting you as you nurture your child's faith.

Throughout Scripture, parents are encouraged to teach their children to know and love God. We see families bringing their children before the Lord, asking for His blessing and committing their lives to His purposes.

Child Dedication is an opportunity to:

  • Thank God for the gift of your child.
  • Publicly commit to raising your child according to God's Word.
  • Invite your church family to support and pray for your family.
  • Celebrate God's faithfulness together.

During the Child Dedication service, parents will have the opportunity to stand before the congregation, make a commitment to raise their child in a Christ-centered home, and receive prayer from our pastors and church family.
