Children's Ministry

Under the leadership of our director of children's ministry, Denny Dunscomb, GraceWay strives to teach children about Christ and their need for a Savior at an early age as well as how to grow in their relationship with Him. We desire to serve families in our community through a variety of ministries. As you scroll down below, you will find many opportunities for your kids to get involved. If you have any questions, we encourage you to contact our children's director, Denny Dusncomb.

Your child's safety is the primary concern to us. We require all children to be checked in through our security software which produces a unique label for their parent/guardian that will be matched to their name tag upon pickup.  Additionally, each of our adult staff and volunteers must complete a background check.

Nursery & Toddlers

Provided for All Services

Our desire is to provide you with an opportunity to worship in our services while your children are well-cared for in a cheerful and caring atmosphere. Whether nursery (up to 2 yo) toddlers (2-3) each child is registered in our Check-in program to ensure their safety. For children in our nursery, a beeper is given to the parent in order to reach them, if needed, during the service. Toddlers have plenty of time to enjoy their own large play area and interact with other kids as well as have Bible story time. We also have several in our congregation certified to help in case of an emergency; one of these individuals also carries a beeper during the worship services if the need arises. Please feel free to come by one day during the week prior to your first Sunday visit to see our nursery firsthand.  For any questions on our nursery, please contact our children's director, Denny Dunscomb.

Preschool

On Sunday mornings, whether Sunday School (9:00) or Kid's Worship (10:45), our teachers will engage your child with games, activities, and Bible teaching.  If your child is interested in music, our Cherub Choir makes music with handbells and voices and performs several times throughout the school year.  During the week, preschoolers (Moppettes) have the chance to gather, play, and learn while their moms are connecting during our MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) program.  AWANA, meeting on Friday's at 6:45, is another way that kids grow through Scripture, lessons, and games.

Elementary

With Sunday School, Kid's Worship, Young Voices, AWANA, and camps, there is something for every child to grow with Jesus.  On Sundays, our teachers present age-appropriate Sunday School lessons (9AM) and Mr. Denny leads Kid's Worship (10:45).  The children can come to one or both and we have a time of refreshment in between.  If your child enjoys singing, our Young Voices rehearse on Sundays at 6PM and perform throughout the year.  AWANA is one of the largest children and youth ministries in the world.  Our weekly program meets on Fridays at 6:45 for a night of fun activities, games, and Scripture memorization. It introduces children to Christ and builds a biblical foundation for faith.
